Yum yum yum. I love this place! It's very clean and the staff is very friendly! I always get the rolled taco combo plate nd it never misses. Such a good spot!!

Super tasty Adobada and Carnitas tacos. Both with very good quality meat that's well-seasoned with proper crispy pieces. Very generous amount of meat on each taco, too. In fact, I had to eat some with a fork before I could even pick them up! Chips, while not free, were fresh, hot, and delicious. The salsa bar is okay, par for the course with two reds and two greens, one creamy. A big plus is that the place is super clean, with excellent health inspection reports.

After moving up North, I stumbled upon this hidden gem that has quickly become my absolute favorite for Mexican cuisine. Despite the lively ambiance created by the tasty dishes and vibrant atmosphere, the consistently top-notch experience completely justifies it. During our recent visit, my partner and I delved into the amazing flavors of the chicken and steak fajita plates. Paired with flour tortillas and accompanied by two medium horchatas, the whole meal was incredibly delicious. What truly stood out was the fantastic staff--always friendly, and they consistently go above and beyond to make your dining experience special. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. It has become my go-to, and I'm confident it will become yours too!

Great breakfast burritos and love that they are served all day. We had the chorizo and it was so tasty. Salsa bar is good but would have liked one salsa that was a little chunkier. Possibly could label the salsas also and give "heat" index. Service was friendly and fast. Food came out hot. Clean and had to walk thru kitchen to bathroom which was also clean thank you Yep no I'm not ready to eat my arm good

Stopped in because it was the closest place to where I was staying, and the tacos were delicious. Service was friendly and fast, considering how many people were there. My carne asada street tacos tasted super fresh - not greasy like many others I've had. The free side of chips was also a nice touch! Definitely coming back to try other things on the menu.

Newly opened and already one of the best taco shops in Escondido. When dining in you'll get fresh hot chips and salsa delivered to your table. You'll also get plates and metal utensils with your order. Asada Burritos- fresh well-trimmed meat. The highlight of their asada burritos was the seasoning on the asada. It's bold and unique. In summation: Mendoza's offeres more flavorful food and friendly service. I'll come back and try some of their plates next time.
